our history

It all started with a simple question. At about the same time Pizza Hut sold their first Pizza online, the founders of Clickthinking asked a simple question. How do we get the right people to your website and how do we persuade them to act once they are there? Unfortunately, there was no simple answer and more questions followed. Who are the right people? Are they online and where? How do we attract and retain their interest? How do we direct them along their customer journey and importantly how do we get prospects to buy your product? Answering these questions and the ones that followed formed the foundation of Clickthinking’s business. Over the years we have worked tirelessly at gaining a better understanding of the web and consumer behaviour and how best to construct web strategies for our clients. We have won international awards along the way and have held respected association positions globally but remain first and foremost a conversion agency who takes great pride in our work.

Clickthinking’s executive team are conversion focused, result orientated with high levels of professionalism. Our team has been collectively developing and championing clients web strategies for close to 11 years in a variety of industry sectors and categories helping our clients to stand out from all the clutter. A number of our executive team members are internationally recognized for their skills and knowledge in the disciplines of design, online marketing, site analytics and site performance.

Clickthinking has BEE certification and is strongly committed to transformation in the new South Africa. The company works for several non profit organisations and does a set amount of pro bono work each year. Donations are also made to carefully screened projects and individuals. Registered in South Africa as a PTY limited and independently owned, the company has an international presence working on web strategies throughout the world.

Clickthinking offices are situated in Cape Town at the tip of the African continent. A well-known holiday destination, Clickthinking encourages an open and collaborative working environment, which is unconventional in many ways. There are no offices separating management from employees and there are no strict hierarchies between colleagues. Sharing of information and ideas are put before dress codes and it is a value proposition-based approach that all team members are required to buy into. Many of Clickthinking's staff - and clients - have been with the company since its inception.
